This Privacy Policy applies to the Satyak mobile application (available on Google Play Store) and the website satyakclasses.in.
By installing, accessing, or using the Satyak application or platform, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
To provide you with educational services, video lectures, test evaluation, and account management, we collect the following types of information:
- Personal Identity Data: Full name, email address, mobile phone number, city/state, and target competitive examination (e.g., RAS, UPSC, State Exams).
- Academic & Progress Records: Enrolled courses, video watch history, module completion status, mock test scores, Mains answer writing submissions, and PDF downloads.
- Transaction & Payment Information: Payment order history and transaction IDs processed securely via our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway (Razorpay). Note: We do not store your credit/debit card details or UPI PINs directly on our servers.
- Device & Technical Identifiers: Device hardware ID, operating system version, app version, IP address, and push notification tokens. This data is collected to enforce device access limits and prevent unauthorized account sharing.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process your personal information strictly for legitimate educational and operational purposes:
- Delivering live & recorded lectures, test series, current affairs magazines, and study material.
- Evaluating and providing personalized feedback on handwritten Mains answer sheets.
- Verifying user identity via One-Time Password (OTP) or password login.
- Processing transactions and generating official purchase invoices.
- Sending essential notifications regarding course updates, live schedule changes, and test announcements.
- Maintaining system security, detecting anti-piracy violations, and preventing unauthorized account sharing.
4. Mobile Device Permissions Requested
The Satyak mobile app may request the following device permissions to enable specific features:
Storage / Media Access
Required to save encrypted offline video lectures, study PDFs, and current affairs magazines on your device.
Camera Access
Required if you choose to take photos of your handwritten Mains answer sheets directly in the app for submission.
Push Notifications
Used to notify you about upcoming live classes, new test releases, and evaluated Mains copies.
Screen Protection (ScreenGuard)
Enforces anti-piracy policies by preventing unauthorized screen recording or screenshots of proprietary course content.
5. Data Protection & Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to guard your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. All communication between your device and our servers is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL/TLS) protocols.
We work with trusted third-party service providers (such as Razorpay for payments and AWS IVS for video streaming) who adhere to strict data security and confidentiality standards.
6. Account & Data Deletion Rights
In compliance with Google Play Store policies and global data privacy standards, Satyak provides users with full rights to delete their account and associated data.
